Daniela & Neale
It’s not often that I get the feeling that a potential client already knows exactly what she wants as soon as she’s introduced herself. This was certainly the case with Daniela. Immediately after enquiring whether the venue was available on her chosen date, she ennumerated her requirements with total clarity and conviction! This clarity never wavered through the course of the year we spent planning the wedding. Daniela managed to source all the bits ‘n bobs that can be difficult when you are in a a small town and when your first instinct isn’t to ask Google….Thank you, Daniela – I have a host of new suppliers in my little black book. The most unusual? The personalised M&M’s from the USA that were presented as favours – they included a photo of Daniela and Neale and a whole lot of cute quotes.
On the day
The wedding weather threatened to misbehave (though we had a great Plan B), but on the day turned out to be perfect. The ceremony included some interesting Greek traditions, but was far shorter. Guests spilled out onto the lawns after only half an hour. Daniela had arranged complimentary heel protectors for the ladies that proved to be an absolute hit. But the winner was the Gin Bar with 5 different gin-based cocktails. Nguni Girls provided a stunning mezze style harvest table that featured the cutest parma ham piglet! Mali & Me provided the entertainment and a fun time was had before we started the reception in the Pavilion. After the usual formalities had been dispensed with and a scrumptious meal enjoyed, it was time for the first dance and some plate-breaking! I had some nervous moments when plates wizzed past the chandeliers and a guest got smacked on the hand, but it all ended well! We whisked everyone back onto the lawns at around 9.30 while we cleaned up, moved the bar and got ready to start the real celebrations. The final verdict? A stunning wedding packed with activities and details. My very best to this wonderful couple. It was a pleasure working with you both.
